Construction of new Albula Tunnel II - Plot 103: preliminary Albula Tunnel I + plot 103a: broadening of dugout.

Works were part of a larger project that included the construction of the new Albula Tunnel II for Ferrovie Retiche (RhB).

Works included:

The securing of the existing Albula tunnel I (length 5864 m), though static renovation works along the entire arch:
- Anchors (2.5 – 6m): 850 pcs
- Hilti HCCB anchors: 1600 pcs
-Shotconcrete d=5-20 cm: 14 000 m2
- Electro-welded mesh: 22 600 kg
-Masonry hydro-cleaning: 6 000 m2
- C25 concrete: 150 m3

The excavation (with explosives and by traditional method) of the mouths of the 12 new transversal connecting conduits between the existing tunnel and the new one: 2000 m3;

The laying of pipes for industrial and fire-fighting water along the entire length:
- Pipes in cast iron: 5 500 m
- Pipes in HDPE DN250: 350 m
Widening of the survey cave existing along the Albula tunnel II (about 2500,00 m3 of excavations with explosive and safety implementation).
